How to Measure Your Dog’s Paw

Step Instruction Details
1 Place Paw on Paper Place a sheet of paper on a hard, flat surface. Let your dog stand naturally with full weight on the paw.
2 Mark the Paw Width Mark the widest part of the paw from left to right. Make sure the toes are naturally spread.
3 Mark the Paw Length Measure from the front of the longest nail or toe to the back of the paw pad.
4 Measure All 4 Paws Front and back paws can differ in size. Use the largest paw measurement to choose the boot size.

Pro Tip: For Veyra boots, both paw width and paw length matter. If your dog is between two sizes, choose the bigger size for comfort and natural toe spread.

How a Good Boot Fit Should Feel

  • Snug but not tight around the paw
  • Toes can spread comfortably inside
  • Boot does not slip off while walking
  • Anti-slip sole sits flat on the ground
  • Straps feel secure without pressing too hard
  • Your dog can walk naturally without stiffness
  • No rubbing around the ankle area

Boot Fit Notes

  • Do not choose size only by breed or weight.
  • Measure the actual paw width and length before selecting a size.
  • If one paw is larger than the others, choose size based on the largest paw.
  • If your dog has thick fur around the paws, leave a little extra room.
  • If between two sizes, size up for better comfort.
  • For waterproof boots, make sure the opening is secure but not too tight.
